MTN is growing. In order to accommodate our new customers, we are adding a new number range 076.

All SIMs on 096 are MTN Numbers and will continue to work. Calls to 076 from 096 are MTN On-Net Calls and will be charged at the prevailing tariff rate. SIM Cards issued with the 076 range of numbers would be able to do everything current 096 numbers can do

Benefits

  1. Go to www.my076.mtnzambia.com
  2. On the landing page enter the number you would like to reserve into the text box and clicks the search button.

    Number formats are 0761XXXXXX, 0762XXXXXX, 0763XXXXXX, 0764XXXXXX

    If the number is unavailable, you will receive an error message saying” The number you have entered is not available for reservation. Please enter another number”.

    This means that you can try out a different combination.
  3. If your number is available to be reserved, fill in the form that will requesting the details shown below:

    First name
    Last name
    ID Type
    ID Number AND Contact Phone Number to be reached on

    Accept the terms and conditions by ticking the check box saying “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”. Once that is done, click the Reserve button to secure the phone number.
  4. Once you select the Reserve button, you will receive a password (OTP) on their contact number which you submitted upon registration. Enter the OTP on the screen requesting a Password and Click Confirm
  5. Congratulations! You have now reserved a number of your choice. Visit any service center to pay and collect your 076 sim card.

Q: What will happen to my 096 number?

A: Nothing at all. 076 numbers are simply an expansion of our number range. MTN numbers now start with both 096 & 076.

Q: How do I reserve a 076 number?

A: Go to http://my076.mtnzambia.co.zm and follow the steps to reserve a number of your choice

Q: Why I’m I getting an invalid response when I try to reserve a number?

A: Remember to input 7 digits when trying to reserve a number. You can start your number with 0761, 0762, 0763 or 0764 then the 6 digits that will make up your new number.

Q: How much does it cost to reserve a 076 number?

A: It costs K5 to reserve a regular number, K200 to reserve gold numbers e.g. 0761200200, and K2,000 to reserve premium numbers e.g. 0761000000 or 0762777777.

Q: Can I recharge with existing recharge vouchers?

A: Yes. All recharge cards in the market work on both 096 and 076 numbers.

Q: Would I be charged extra when calling a 076 number?

A: No. Calling 076 is the same as calling any 096 number. You would NOT be charged higher.

Q: How many numbers can I Reserve?

A: A customer can reserve a maximum of 4.

Q: When I join the MTN Network, do I get bonus benefits?

A: Yes, you get 10 MTN minutes and 300MB when your first recharge is K2 or above.

Q: How long are the bonus benefits valid for?

A: The bonus benefits are valid for three days.

Q: How many times can I get this benefit?

A. You can get bonus benefits in each of the first three months of your MTN tenure on your first recharge of K2 or above.

Q: What are the benefits in month 1?

A. In the first month, the product gives you 10 On-Net minutes and 300MB when you recharge K2 or above.

Q: What are the benefits in month 2 and month 3?

A. In the second and third month, the product gives you 10 On-Net minutes and 100MB when you recharge K2 or above.

Q: What recharge channels are applicable to the welcome package benefits?

A. You can get the bonus minutes and airtime when you recharge using a physical recharge card, Mobile money and via an electronic terminal E.g Kazaang.
